California Pizza Kitchen

This is not exactly a "new" restaurant because this popular chain has many locations around the world, BUT in 2022, California Pizza Kitchen opened its FIRST Canadian location in Edmonton! The chain began in Beverly Hills in 1985, when former federal prosecutors Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax teamed up to open the first location. They sold innovative California-style pizza and premiered the original BBQ Chicken Pizza. Today, the chain has 200 restaurants worldwide in 12 cities and 11 countries and U.S. territories. Edmonton just got really lucky!

Banh Mi Day

Love big sandwiches? You'll love Banh Mi Day! It's a great new place to enjoy authentic Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches (made on Vietnamese baguettes). It's also a great spot for a steaming hot bowl of Pho soup. They even have a vegan food menu that includes vegan pho, banh mi, spring rolls and more!

Oomami Dog

Oomami Dog is Edmonton's first restaurant to serve Japanese kurobuta pork hot dogs and seafood rolls. Kurobuta means “black pig.” These aren't your Grandma's hot dogs! Only the most flavourful pork is used to make them.

Mogouyan Hand-pulled Noodles

You may have never experienced Lan Zhou traditional hand-pulled noodles before, but you should! Mogouyan Hand-pulled Noodles is a restaurant chain with three locations in Ontario, and this new spot is its first in Edmonton. Dig into a big bowl of noodles. You have more than 10 options of noodles. They are served in a savoury broth, stir-fried, dried and flavoured, or cold.

Hayloft Steak and Fish

If you're a steakhouse kind of foodie, Hayloft Steak and Fish is a sweet new spot in town for delicious surf and turf in an upscale environment. Their steaks and fish are supplied by local farmers and mongers. They serve classic dishes like beef tartare and carpaccio with modern and eccentric twists.
